The Medical Examiner’s Office has released autopsy results into the suspicious death of a 17-year-old woman that occurred on Saturday, Oct. 31, 2015 in west Edmonton.
The cause of death of Leona Neapetung-Stevens, 17, has been confirmed as stab wounds with the manner of death being homicide.
Joseph Sinclair, 20, has been arrested and charged with second degree murder.
Background:
West Division patrol members responded to a 911 call for assistance at an address near 96 Avenue and 176 Street, at approximately 5 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 31, 2016.
Upon arrival, members found the body of a deceased teen female in the residence.
Homicide detectives have since taken over the investigation.
