Police continue to investigate suspicious death in northeast Edmonton

The Edmonton Police Service Homicide Section continues to investigate a suspicious death that was reported early this morning in northeast Edmonton.

It is reported neighbours called police to check on the welfare of a man who was found in the hallway of a building at 4908 134 Avenue around 6:15 a.m. today, Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2015.

EPS and EMS arrived on scene where they found a deceased male.

Homicide detectives have been speaking to witnesses today.

The next of kin has not yet been notified so the age of the deceased will not be released at this time.

Police do not believe this occurrence is associated to any other homicide.

An autopsy has been scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 3, 2015 at 9 a.m.

No further information or details will be released at this time. Homicide Section continues to investigate.
