Police investigating armed robbery at convenience store

The Edmonton Police Service is investigating a report of an armed robbery earlier today at a convenience store in northeast Edmonton.

Just after midnight, Monday, Feb. 8, 2016, it was reported that two masked males with firearms entered a convenience store in the area of 40 Street and Hermitage Road. An employee was assaulted during this event which resulted in serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

A third suspect (female) was also involved in this incident. The suspects fled with an undisclosed amount of cash and other store products.

The suspects are described as follows:

Suspect #1: Aboriginal or Caucasian male, slim build and about six feet tall. He was wearing a black jacket, blue pants, white runners, and a black mask.

Suspect #2: Aboriginal or Caucasian male with an average build and about 5’8” to 5’10” tall. He was wearing a black jacket with a grey hoody, grey sweat pants and a black mask.

Suspect#3: Female, short and stocky and was wearing a hoody.
