Police investigating over-night suspicious death

The Edmonton Police Service is investigating a suspicious death that occurred earlier this morning, Monday, Aug. 26, 2013. Police responded to a residence in the area of 84 Street and 160 Avenue at approximately 10 p.m. last night, Sunday, Aug. 25, 2013, where a 56-year-old male was found in cardiac arrest. The victim was treated and rushed to hospital by paramedics, where he succumbed to his injuries at approximately 2:50 a.m. earlier Monday morning.

Homicide detectives have a female who resides at the residence in custody. An autopsy is scheduled to take place tomorrow morning, Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2013.
