Police investigating armed bank robbery in northeast Edmonton

The Edmonton Police Service is investigating an armed bank robbery that occurred Friday evening in northeast Edmonton.

At approximately 7:10 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 25, 2016, police received a report of a bank robbery in the area of 93 Street and 137 Avenue. It is reported two black males wearing black hoodies entered a bank and then fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. One suspect allegedly brandished a firearm during the robbery.

Police believe a third black male seen fleeing the scene may also be connected to the robbery.

Officers contained and searched two residences in northeast Edmonton in relation to the investigation. The suspects were not located.

Northeast Division officers and EPS Robbery Section continue to investigate.
