Homicide detectives of the Edmonton Police Service are investigating a suspicious death that occurred early this morning on the south side of Edmonton.
Southeast patrol officers were called to a residence in the area of 60 Street and 35 A Avenue at 1:10 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013, after a person in the home reported an altercation between two male acquaintances that left one male in medical distress.
A male in his early 30s was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not known to police.
Detectives are in the process of interviewing everyone in the house that night. All witnesses are being cooperative. The EPS Forensic Services Section remains at the scene.
An autopsy to determine cause and manner of death has not yet been scheduled.
