Homicide Section detectives have now taken over the investigation, which remains ongoing at this time.

The Edmonton Police Service is investigating a stabbing that sent a male in his early 20s to hospital with life-threatening injuries earlier this afternoon.
Northwest Division patrol officers responded to a transit stop located at the 118th Avenue underpass near the Coliseum Transit Station, after receiving calls from passing motorists for assistance.
Upon arrival, police found a complainant male suffering from what appeared to be stab wounds to his upper body allegedly sustained during an altercation with another male.
Paramedics treated and transported the male to hospital where he is now undergoing surgery.
