A 16-year-old male has been charged after a serious stabbing of an Edmonton man last night.
Patrol officers from the Edmonton Police Service Northeast Division responded to an altercation in a residence near 129 Avenue and 82 Street just before 9 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013.
A 39-year-old male was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. He remains in serious but stable condition.
A motive for the assault is unknown, however it has been determined the injured male and accused are known to each other.
The teen, which cannot be named in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act, has been charged with aggravated assault and possession of an offensive weapon.
