The Edmonton Police Service is releasing a composite sketch in the hopes of identifying a suspect in an alleged violent, random assault that occurred on April 11 in northeast Edmonton.

On Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at approximately 6 a.m., a 41-year-old female victim was reportedly attacked after exiting her vehicle in the Clareview Transit Centre parking lot.

While searching inside her vehicle, the female was allegedly attacked from behind by a male who reportedly grabbed her by the hair and forcefully struck her head against the vehicle several times, then proceeded to kick her after she fell to the ground. A female witness attempted to intervene, and was reportedly pushed to the ground by the male attacker. The alleged attacker fled on foot when a male witness subsequently ran to the scene.

Investigators are asking the two witnesses to come forward, and are also looking for any information about the suspect, who is described as a thin white male in his early twenties, approximately 5’4” to 5’7”. He is reported to have medium-length blond or red hair that was protruding from underneath a black toque, and a small amount of facial hair. The suspect was also wearing a black winter jacket, cream coloured pants and black shoes.
