Through the course of their investigation, EPS Homicide Detectives have determined that the bicyclist they are searching for in the May 16 shooting that took place in the Callingwood area is now considered a suspect in the murder of Ibrahim Zoker.
EPS initially released information that the bicyclist may have information regarding the shooting, and were asking the public to come forward with any knowledge that might help identify him.
The male cyclist was witnessed traveling westbound on a path, just north of 64 Avenue near the vicinity of the shooting. The male was riding a full-sized bike, wearing a light-coloured top, and may have been carrying a satchel or bag. He may also have been wearing a headlamp at the time of the incident.
Detectives say the suspect may be armed and dangerous, and should not be approached.
Police have obtained security footage from the night of the homicide depicting a cyclist in the area. Police are not certain the person in the video is the same cyclist who committed the murder; however, anyone with information about the cyclist in the video is asked to come forward to police.
Police had previously released that the victim, Ibrahim Zoker, was known by several nicknames, including Thirty, Thirty Cent, Hundred, Prince, Romeo or Money, and may not be recognized by his legal name. The investigation has also uncovered several other nicknames, including “Teardrop” and “Two-face.” Zoker was known to wear a distinctive gold coloured baseball hat wherever he went.

Background:
On Wednesday May 16, 2018 at approximately 10:50 p.m., Ibrahim Zoker, 23, was shot and killed as he was walking on 64 Avenue near 172 Street.
On May 17, 2018, the Edmonton Medical Examiner confirmed that Zoker died from gunshot wounds and the manner of death was determined to be homicide.
