Autopsy results confirm 32-year-old male was shot to death

The Edmonton Medical Examiner has confirmed that Clinton Roderick Roasting, 32, of Edmonton, died from a gunshot wound, and the manner of death is homicide.

Northeast Division patrol officers and paramedics found Roasting lying on the ground in medical distress, at approximately 1:47 a.m., yesterday, Monday, Aug. 27, 2018.

Roasting was found lying in a green space in East Parkview Estates, near 32 Street and 116 Avenue.

Every file is evaluated on a case by case basis. The EPS has decided to release the name of the deceased in this case, as it serves an investigative purpose.

Background:
The Edmonton Police Service’s Homicide Section is investigating the suspicious death of a male, which occurred early Monday morning in northeast Edmonton.

Northeast Division patrol officers responded to a 911 call for assistance at approximately 1:47 a.m. earlier today, Monday, August 27, 2018.

Upon arrival, police and paramedics found an adult male in medical distress on the ground lying in a green space near East Parkview Estates, 32 Street and 116 Avenue.

The male died shortly thereafter, despite attempts by first responders to resuscitate him.
