Police looking for flatbed tow truck involved in hit and run

Police are looking for the driver of a large model 4500 flatbed tow truck in connection with the hit and run of a pedestrian that occurred around 9:50 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 15.

Police responded to a report of a hit and run collision involving a 60-year-old male victim near 132A Avenue and Victoria Trail last night.

Witnesses told North Division Patrol members that the victim was allegedly hanging on the outside passenger door of the tow truck, while it was in motion. The victim is then reported to have fallen off and been run over by the truck.

The victim was treated by paramedics on scene and rushed to hospital in critical condition. The EPS Major Collision Investigation Unit has since taken over the file.
