The EPS is investigating a fatal collision involving a pedestrian that occurred this morning.
At approximately 8:30 a.m. today (Friday, Dec. 7, 2018), police were dispatched to Yellowhead Trail and 66 Street following a 911 call regarding a pedestrian who had been struck by a vehicle.
It was reported that the pedestrian stepped out in front of a three-tonne truck as it was travelling eastbound on Yellowhead Trail between the intersections of 68 and 67 Street. The 26-year-old male pedestrian was transported to hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
The 2019 Hino three-tonne truck remained on scene. No charges are being laid. EPS Major Collision Investigations Section is investigating.
