Downtown Division Patrol members responded to a weapon’s complaint in the parking lot of a convenience store near 107 Avenue and 104 Street, at approximately 6:30 p.m., Dec. 17, 2013. Although the investigation remains preliminary at this time, witness accounts suggest an altercation between two males occurred, which led to one of them being stabbed.
The male victim was treated on scene and rushed to hospital by paramedics, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The suspect, who fled the scene on foot, is described as being an Aboriginal male, around 5’9” tall and 150 pounds.
An autopsy is scheduled for today, Wednesday, Dec. 18, at 1 p.m.
