Investigators believe Justin Kenneth Sandquist, 23, is responsible for the stabbing death of Cote, 25, which occurred in a motel parking lot near Gateway Boulevard and 45 Avenue in the early morning hours on Dec. 18, 2013.
Sandquist (see photos below) is described as being a Causian male, around 5’10” tall and 185 pounds. He has short, brown hair (shaved), hazel eyes and sleeve-style tattoos on both arms.
Canada-wide warrants have been issued for Sandquist’s arrest on charges of first degree murder, possession of an offensive weapon and criminal hit and run. Sandquist has ties to Edmonton, Grande Prairie and High Prairie.
