An Edmonton man wanted in connection with a Jan. 3, 2013 bank robbery in the city’s downtown area has turned himself in to police.
David Walter Krygowski, 51, turned himself in at EPS headquarters Monday, as a result of an intensive search by Downtown Division officers.
Robbery Section investigators allege that Krygowski walked into a financial institution in downtown Edmonton last Friday then produced a package indicating it was a bomb and demanded money. The suspect then allegedly fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
A warrant was subsequently issued for his arrest for being unlawfully at large.
Krygowski is facing one charge each of robbery and possessing of an imitation weapon for the purpose of committing an offence.
