Investigators seek surveillance images from southwest shooting incident on Monday

The Edmonton Police Service is seeking the public's assistance in connection to an attempted murder that occurred outside of a southwest apartment building Monday afternoon.

On Monday, Oct. 28, 2019, at approximately 3:07 p.m., Southwest Division officers responded to a call for assistance from EMS. It was reported to police that a 20-year-old male was found in an apartment building parking lot on Saddleback Road east of 18 Avenue.

Paramedics treated and transported the male to hospital with what appears to be a gunshot wound where he remains in critical but stable condition.

Detectives continue to investigate and are seeking the public’s assistance securing any available surveillance footage from the area. Investigators are hoping to connect with any citizens and business owners in the Bearspaw, Twin Brooks, Kaskitayo and Blackmud neighbourhoods who may have video recording devices in their vehicles, residences or businesses that gathered footage from Monday, Oct. 28, 2019 between 2:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. Officers are specifically looking for recordings between 9 Avenue and 23 Avenue and Saddleback Road and 109 Street. A map of the area is included below.
