Police seeking public's assistance in locating truck stolen with dog inside

The Edmonton Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance locating a truck that was allegedly stolen with a dog in the cab.

On Friday, Dec. 13, 2019, at approximately 12:15 p.m., a truck and trailer were reportedly stolen from outside of a residence in the area of 115 Avenue & 81 Street. The truck, with the dog in the cab, was reportedly running at the time and the trailer was carrying a snow sweeper.

The flatbed trailer was recovered without the sweeper a short time later in the area of 120 Avenue and 76 Street; however, the truck and the dog were not located.

*UPDATE* This afternoon, the complainant attended the City of Edmonton Animal Care & Control Centre and Nick, a nine-year-old light brown and white Jack Russell Terrier cross, was reunited with his family. 

Police continue to search for the stolen truck described as a
silver 2011 Ford F150 Alberta plate BZG 9331. A photo of a similar truck is included below.
