“We always have fun at the Polar Plunge. It sounds daunting and teeth-chattering, but everyone is laughing and smiling as they step out of the lake,” Constable Amanda Trenchard expressed. “It’s a shock for sure, but what a great and unique way for Special Olympics athletes, law enforcement, and citizens to come together.”
It's not too late to become an ice cube:
- Register online as a team or an individual - you can register on-site if you decide last minute! Anyone 16 years old and up can register for the plunge; underage participants require their legal guardian to sign a waiver.
- Registration fee is $50 and gets you a pair of Polar Plunge gloves!
- Review the Plunger Toolkit so you can prepare for the big day.
- Start fundraising! The more you raise, the more incentives you can receive.
- Bring your cheer squad with you to Lake Summerside on January 26 and get the perfect photo memory as you jump in your super suit.
- Registration begins at 11:00 a.m. and opening ceremonies are at 12:00 pm.
- Warm up, watch the rest of the plungers, and take in the fun
family-friendly activities!
