The Edmonton Police Service has charged four individuals in relation to the homicide of Derek Cowan, 47, in August 2019.
Between Jan. 21, 2020, and Thursday, Jan. 30, 2020, Amanda Cowan, 37, Jacob Cook, 27, Aqua Pasquayak-Thompson, 19, and a male who was 17-years-old at the time of the offence were arrested and charged with first-degree murder.
Background
On Friday, Aug. 16, 2019, Downtown patrol officers responded to a report of a deceased male inside an apartment suite at 93 Street and 104 Avenue.
An autopsy took place Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2019, and the Edmonton Medical Examiner determined that Derek Cowan, 47, died as a result of being stabbed.
