It was reported that Darlene Ann Dickie, 49, and her granddaughter, Kyra Maidment, 8, left their residence near 101 Street and 111 Avenue on Saturday morning. Dickie was driving a black 2012 Ford Escape at the time with the Alberta licence plate number BHC3657.
The pair failed to return home, prompting the family to contact police at approximately 8 p.m. Saturday evening.
Kyra Maidment, 8, is described as (see photo below)
- 3’0” tall
- 65 pounds
- Shoulder length brown hair.
- Wearing a black and white longer shirt with ruffles at the bottom and black leggings.
- Brown fur jacket and black boots with grey fur lining
- NOTE: Kyra also has a brain injury, and communicates with the use of an iPad.
Darlene Dickie, 49, is described as (see photo below):
- 5'4" tall
- 130 pounds
- Long reddish, blond hair.
- She wears glasses.
- Wearing at navy blue winter jacket
- Grey/black pants.
Investigators do not believe the incident is criminal in nature, at this time.
