The Edmonton Police Service has charged a 33-year-old man in relation to the homicide of a male over the weekend.
Shortly after 6 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 18, 2021, police responded to the report of an assault with a weapon in the area of 104 Avenue and 95 Street. Upon arrival, police located a man with serious injuries. Officers provided first-aid; however, he succumbed to his injuries on scene.
The Edmonton Medical Examiner completed an autopsy yesterday, Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2021, and determined that Eugene Brian Patrick Louis, 27, died as a result ofa stab wound.The manner of death is homicide.
Homicide detectives have since arrested and charged Jorge James McConnell, 33, with second degree murder in relation to Louis’ death.
