The Edmonton Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance identifying two suspects after a jewelry robbery at Millwoods Town Centre.

At 5:37 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 5, 2021, two male suspects entered a jewelry store in the area of 23 Avenue and 66 Street. One of the suspects reportedly jumped over the counter and stole several trays of necklaces. After a struggle with store employees, the suspect dropped most of the jewelry and fled with the second suspect. As the two males exited the store, the second suspect pepper sprayed one of the store employees.

The two were seen leaving in a stolen silver 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 with license plate CXY 994. They then abandoned the Dodge in the area of 54 Street and 18 Avenue, and are believed to have driven away in another vehicle.

Detectives with the EPS Robbery Section believe the suspects to be the same two males involved in a Nov. 9, 2021 jewelry store robbery in Southgate Centre. At that time, it was reported that two male suspects entered the store, while one produced a handgun and the other jumped over the counter and took gold necklaces later determined to be worth approximately $178,000.

The suspects then reportedly fled, jumping into the rear seats of a stolen red 2013 Honda Civic being driven by a third unidentified suspect. They then abandoned the Honda in the area of 58 Avenue and 141 Street, and are believed to have driven away in another vehicle.

Police continue to investigate both robberies, and are releasing more photos of the suspects in hopes that someone may recognize them. Police are also looking for any information on the vehicles the suspects drove after abandoning the stolen vehicles used in the robberies.

The first suspect is described as a white or Indigenous male wearing glasses, white puma shoes, black Adidas track pants and a ball cap with “Air Jordan” logo on the brim. The second suspect was wearing all black clothing and a black ball cap with white brim.
