At approximately 2:30 a.m. today, Thursday, May 26, 2022, Southeast Branch Patrol officers responded to the report of a single vehicle collision in the area of 32 Street and 28 Avenue. It was reported to police that a 2004 Porsche Cayenne was travelling westbound on Silver Berry Road approaching 32 Street when it lost control in the curve, drove across the opposite lanes of traffic and struck the south curb. The vehicle then reportedly travelled across the sidewalk and grass before striking a fire hydrant, trees, a residential fence and the exterior wall of a residence where it came to a stop.
EMS responded, treated and transported the 31-year-old male driver and lone occupant of the Porsche to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The individuals in the residence at the time were uninjured.
