The EPS’ Robbery Section has charged two women in relation to a robbery at a pharmacy earlier this year.
On Friday, March 18, 2022, two female suspects reportedly entered a pharmacy on 68 Street and Ellerslie Road, pepper-sprayed the employees, and stole narcotics before fleeing the business prior to police arrival. Two employees were treated on-scene for minor injuries.
Investigations led to the identification of the first suspect, Madelyn Antony, 18, who was arrested on April 7, 2022. Subsequent investigations identified the second suspect as Nyaruch Deng, 19, who was arrested on June 21, 2022, in relation to the robbery.
Both suspects have been charged with Robbery (x2) and disguise with intent.
