An autopsy has been completed in the death of a male in central Edmonton.
Just before 4:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 31, 2022, police responded to the report of an injured male in a building stairwell in the area of 110 Avenue and 84 Street. When officers arrived, they located Christopher McMullen, 38, who was pronounced deceased on scene by paramedics.
On July 31, 2022, Joslyn Batoche, 41, was arrested and charged with manslaughter.
On Thursday, August 4, 2022, an autopsy completed by the Edmonton Medical Examiner determined that McMullen died of a stab wound. The manner of death was homicide.
