The Edmonton Police Service
(EPS) has seized more than $150,000 worth of drugs, weapons and stolen property
following a two-month long drug trafficking investigation.
In May 2022, EPS Drug and Gang Enforcement (EDGE) Section initiated a fentanyl trafficking investigation, and following an unrelated arson investigation, uncovered the drug dealing activities of a 41-year-old male living in Edmonton. On Wednesday, June 29, 2022, EDGE, with the assistance of the EPS Tactical Unit, executed search warrants at residential addresses in the Griesbach and Delton neighbourhoods. During the searches, police located a variety of drugs, weapons and ammunition, including:
- 1,224 grams of fentanyl (approximate street value of $150,000)
- 120 grams of psilocybin (approximate street value of $750)
- 35 oxycodone pills (approximate street value of $700)
- Pump action shotgun
- Over 50 rounds of various sized ammunition
- Several high-tech firearm sights
- Collapsible metal baton
- Electric taser
- Two pairs of brass knuckles
- Two sets of nunchakus
- Body armour
- A variety of drug paraphernalia and items consistent with the sale and distribution of controlled substances
Ronald Singh, 41, is now facing 10 criminal charges including: possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a firearm knowing possession is unauthorized and possess body armour without a valid permit.
