Police seek public’s assistance locating suspects in stabbing

The Edmonton Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance in locating four male suspects following a stabbing in Downtown Edmonton.

On Sunday, October 2, 2022, at approximately 3:30 a.m., a 57-year-old male was in the area of 99 Avenue and 104 Street when he was confronted by two unknown males. The two males pushed the complainant to the ground and stabbed him repeatedly, while another two males stood by watching. The four males then subsequently fled the location on foot and headed northbound on 104 Street from 99 Avenue. The complainant was able to yell for help attracting the attention of bystanders who rendered first aid until EMS arrived. Paramedics transported the male to hospital with serious injuries.

Following this assault, the group of four males proceeded north on 104 Street where they encountered a second male outside of a building in the area of 100 Avenue. All four of the male suspects attacked the complainant without provocation. One of the males reportedly produced a knife and attempted to stab the victim. The victim was uncooperative with police, but the incident remains under investigation.

Police are releasing CCTV photos of the suspects in an attempt to identify them.

Suspect #1: Wearing a black Nike hoody, dark green jogging pants and black Nike shoes with a white swoosh

 

Suspect #2: Heavy build, wearing a black jacket with a hood and a white logo on the left chest, blue jeans and tan boots

 

Suspect #3: Medium build, wearing a dark grey balaclava, black jacket with a hood, black track pants with white stripes on the sides, white shoes and a distinctive backpack

 

Suspect #4: Dark beard, dark short hair, wearing a grey hat with an “Under Armour” logo, dark puffy jacket, dark pants, dark shirt with white “Kappa” logo on chest and black slip-on sandals

Due to the unprovoked nature of these attacks, police are concerned and are looking to speak with anyone who may have witnessed the incident or have knowledge of those involved.
