Police seek public's assistance identifying suspect in assault

The Edmonton Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a female suspect following an assault and personal robbery in downtown Edmonton. 

On Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at approximately 1:45 p.m., police responded to the area of 102 Street and 104 Avenue to investigate the report of a personal robbery. The female victim was on the north side of Rogers Place and the MacEwan LRT station when she was attacked by a group of people who also stole her personal property. The victim suffered serious, non-life-threatening injuries in the attack.

Police have charged Gloria Cardinal, 33, in the assault and are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a second suspect. The second suspect is described a female, with small stature who is believed to wear glasses. Investigators are releasing a CCTV photo of the suspect in an attempt to identify her.

Due to the unprovoked nature of this attack, police are looking to speak with anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have knowledge of the other suspects involved.
