In September 2021, the Edmonton Police Service (EPS) Drug and Gang Enforcement (EDGE) Section initiated a drug trafficking investigation and discovered that two men were using an apartment suite in the Delwood neighbourhood to store and process cocaine and methamphetamine. On Thursday, March 30, 2022, officers with EDGE Section and the EPS Tactical Unit executed two search warrants, one at a residence in St. Albert, Alberta and one at a residence in the northeast Edmonton neighbourhood of McConachie. During the searches, police located a variety of drugs and cash, including:
- 2.6 kg of cocaine, with a street value of approximately $208,000
- 2 kg of cocaine, with a street value of approximately $160,000 in the hidden compartment of a Nissan Murano
- Approximately $43,000 in cash
- A variety of drug paraphernalia and items consistent with the sale and distribution of controlled substances

Jensen Tran, 34, of St. Albertand Steven Lam, 34, and April Goodson, 31, both of Edmonton, have since been arrested and are facing a total of 11 charges, including, possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of the proceeds of crime over $5,000.
