At approximately 7 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2023, Southwest Branch patrol officers responded to the report of a collision involving a car and an ETS bus in the area of 108A Street and Whitemud Drive. It was reported to police that a 2006 Hyundai Azera was travelling south on a 108A Street when it failed to stop at a stop sign and was struck by an ETS bus travelling westbound on Whitemud Drive (feeder road from 106 Street).
EMS responded, treated and transported the bus driver, the 36-year-old male driver of the car, and the two passengers in the car, a 37-year-old female and a six-year-old female, to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Sadly, the 37-year-old woman’s condition unexpectedly worsened while in hospital and she succumbed to her injuries yesterday evening, Sunday, Feb. 19, 2023. The three passengers on the bus did not report any injuries at the time.
