At approximately 3:10 p.m. today, Wednesday, April 12, 2023, Southeast Branch patrol officers responded to a report of a serious single-vehicle collision involving an adult female pedestrian that occurred in a shopping centre parking lot near 64 Street and 28 Avenue.
It was reported to police that a GM Hummer H3 truck being driven by a female collided with a female pedestrian, who had tripped and fallen to the ground while walking in the parking lot. Paramedics arrived and pronounced the woman deceased on scene.
EPS Major Collision Investigations Section members have since taken over the investigation. No charges have been laid at this time.
Investigators are asking any witnesses or anyone who has dash camera footage of the collision to please contact police.
