Police continue to seek missing teen female

The Edmonton Police Service continues to seek the public’s assistance in locating a missing 15-year-old female.

It was reported to police that Jayla McDougall, 15, was last seen at the Meadows Recreation Centre on 17 Street in southeast Edmonton on Friday, April 14, 2023. Since then, police have received reports that Jayla was spotted at Southgate Mall and the Southgate Transit terminal on Friday, April 21, 2023. Additional photos of Jayla are included below. Jayla is known to frequent shopping malls and transit, in particular the LRT.

Missing female: Jayla McDougall, 15

Jayla is described as a Black female, 5'7” tall, slim build with a half-ring nose piercing. She sometimes wears light pink glasses and a shoulder-length black wig (natural hair is short).

At the time of her disappearance, she may have been wearing a brown mini-skirt, a small t-shirt with white and blue running shoes. She may also have a black bag with red straps from Sport Chek. She was most recently seen wearing a black toque, grey pants, a white “Hogwarts” sweater, red and white sneakers and was carrying a black shoulder bag.
