The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) has arrested and charged a 49-year-old male in connection to a recent series of pharmacy robberies.
Between April 19- 24, 2023, police responded to three reported pharmacy robberies which occurred at different locations throughout the city. It was reported to police that the suspect had brandished and pointed a firearm at employees while demanding narcotics during each incident. Fortunately, no one was injured.
Following an extensive investigation, Robbery Section detectives charged James Cardinal, 49, with over 20 criminal offenses including robbery with a firearm, pointing a firearm, and disguise with intent.
