Multiple judicial authorizations were obtained during this investigation, including search warrants for three vehicles and two locations including a hotel room and a residence in southwest Edmonton. As a result of these searches, a total of $219,525.00 and 11 firearms were seized. The three vehicles were also found to have hidden compartments. No illicit drugs were recovered, but evidence of drug trafficking, such as packaging materials and cocaine conversion equipment were located.

“The origin and types of firearms seized are of considerable concern to police,” says Staff Sergeant Dave Paton of EDGE. “The results of this investigation clearly demonstrate the strong correlation between drug trafficking, firearms and violence.”
Warrants have since been issued for Lance Adam Burke Larocque, 34, and Maya Anne Cardenas McGregor, 32, who are jointly charged with 11 offenses including possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm (x2), contravened regulation (x3) and possession of a weapon obtained by crime (x2). In addition, Larocque faces another 23 charges including possession of anything intended to traffic controlled substances, possess weapons for trafficking and knowingly possess prohibited / restricted weapon (x3).
Reilly Michael John Ross, 25, of Yellowknife, is also wanted for possession of stolen property (proceeds of crime) for his role in the investigation.
