After several days in hospital, a 29-year-old male has succumbed to injuries that were sustained in a fatal single vehicle collision in southeast Edmonton last week.
This male was believed to be the driver of a 2023 Tesla, which police suspect was traveling at a high rate of speed with six occupants, before it lost control and rolled several times near the intersection of Ellerslie Road and 17 Street around 1 a.m. on June 11, 2023.
Two males aged 38 and 41, and a 36-year-old female, were pronounced deceased at the scene. A 37-year-old male remains in hospital in critical but stable condition, and a 25-year-old female also remains in hospital in serious but stable condition.
