Police focused their two-day enforcement on persons soliciting sexual acts from sex workers in a public place contrary to the Criminal Code. From Wednesday, May 28 to Thursday, May 29, 2014, officers arrested 20 males and seized 16 vehicles under the Alberta Traffic Safety Act. One male was arrested and charged with trafficking, possession for the purpose, breach of recognizance (x4) and other traffic related offenses. Another “john” was also charged for trafficking.

“You Cruise, You Lose” is an awareness campaign that launched in 2006 to deter sex trade consumers from cruising Edmonton neighbourhoods and soliciting sex.
