“As a community, we should applaud our youth for being accountable for their actions and willing to impact positive change in our neighbourhoods,” said Sgt. Patrick Ruzage, of the EPS West Division. “With their help, we’re going to put a little spit and polish to a stretch of Stony Plain Road and 124 Street that will make it even more inviting for residents and business patrons.”
Between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. youth will apply a fresh coat of paint to buildings in the area that have been targets of graffiti vandalism over the years.
Participating youth will also enjoy a lunch together with West Division Beats officers at an EPS command post, which will be set up in the IGA parking lot, 15445 Stony Plain Road. Members of the public are also invited to drop by, say hello and enjoy a coffee.
