A 46-year-old man has died, following injuries sustained during an Oct. 5th hit-and-run collision on Rabbit Hill Road in Southwest Edmonton.

The male was struck by a vehicle travelling northbound on Rabbit Hill Road at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 5, 2014, while walking from the southeast corner to the southwest corner in a marked crosswalk at Hodgson Boulevard.

The complainant, a father of two young children, remained in hospital in critical condition until Thursday evening, where he finally succumbed to his injuries.

Investigators believe the vehicle involved in the collision was a late model (late 1990s or early 2000s) four door, light-coloured sedan. The vehicle likely sustained damage to the front bumper, hood and possibly a cracked windshield on the passenger side.

Investigators are again appealing to the driver of the vehicle, as well as the general public, to contact police and to help bring closure to a grieving family.

Anyone who has information about this collision or the whereabouts of the white or silver sedan is urged to contact the EPS at 780-423-4567or #377 from a mobile phone. Anonymous information can also be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online at www.tipsubmit.com/start.htm.
