The male suspect has predominantly targeted gas stations and convenience stores in south Edmonton with one incident occurring in the city’s north end. It was reported the suspect brandished a knife in several of the robberies and threatened to stab staff. He has also physically forced employees back to their cash registers, if they’re located in another part of the store.
All but one of the robberies occurred on the south side of the city with the remaining incident taking place on the city’s north end between Nov. 6, 2014 and Dec. 14, 2014 (see attached map).
The suspect is described as being a black male, 5’10” to 6’2” and between 20 and 30 years of age. It is believed the suspect fled the immediate scene on foot, before getting into a nearby vehicle. Currently, investigators do not have a description of the suspect’s vehicle.
Police are releasing several surveillance images (see below) of the male suspect, in an attempt to solicit the public’s assistance.
