A 55-year-old man is facing charges in connection with an Oct. 1, 2015, hit-and-run collision in southeast Edmonton, which sent a senior citizen to hospital with serious injuries.
Southeast Division patrol members initially responded to a grocery store parking lot at 38 avenue and 34 Street., in the neighbourhood of Meadowbrook, at approximately 10:15 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 1, 2015.
It was reported to police then, that an 81-yr-old complainant was riding his bicycle southbound through the parking lot near the grocery store’s loading dock, when he was struck by a white, five-ton truck that was reversing.
The driver is alleged to have left the scene driving onto 38 Avenue.
Investigators have since arrested and charged George Moostoos, 55, with fail to stop at scene of accident knowing bodily harm has been caused and failing to back safely.
