Charges laid in May 3 homicide of young woman

The Edmonton Police Service Homicide Section has charged Chad Neville Boysis, 29, for the murder of Sabrina Papin, 27, who passed away in hospital on May 3, 2016 after being shot.

Officers were called to a hospital on Tuesday, May 3, 2016, at approximately 6:30 p.m. after it was reported a female and a male suffering from gunshot wounds attended the hospital. The 31-year-old male remains in hospital recovering.

The autopsy was completed yesterday on Papin, and Edmonton’s Medical Examiner determined that the woman died from a gunshot wound.

Chad Neville Boysis has been charged with 2nd degree murder, attempted murder, aggravated assault, use of a firearm while committing an offence, unauthorized possession of a firearm, robbery with a prohibited/restricted firearm, and possession of firearm while prohibited (x2).

Detectives are looking for Brian Joseph Boysis, 34, who is wanted on an Alberta-wide warrant for the following charges: 2nd degree murder, attempted murder, aggravated assault, use of a firearm while committing an offence, unauthorized possession of a firearm, robbery with a prohibited/restricted firearm, possession firearm while prohibited, and possession of firearm while prohibited.
