Just after midnight on Sunday, Sept. 25, 2016, Downtown Division patrol officers responded to the area of 107 Avenue and 110 Street, where a 46-year-old man was located with obvious trauma to his chest. The man was treated and transported to hospital by EMS, where he died a short time after.
The Medical Examiner conducted an autopsy yesterday, Sept. 28. 2016, and EPS Homicide Section confirmed the death of Christopher Lee Giroux, 46, to be homicide. The cause of death will not be released at this time.
Police do not have any suspects in custody and continue to investigate.
This is the city’s 33rd homicide of the year.
