The new station is located at 1351 Windermere Way. It replaces the current station, located at 9710 51 Ave, which was opened to the public in 1976.
“Members of Southwest Division are looking forward to moving to their new station, and continuing to deliver high quality policing services to the citizens of Southwest Edmonton,” said EPS Supt. Nigel Stevens. “This new state-of-the-art facility will help us meet the needs of our rapidly growing communities of Southwest Edmonton for years to come.”
The new Southwest Division station will be fully operational and open to the public at 8 a.m. tomorrow, Wednesday, June 5, 2013. The new station is located just south of the Anthony Henday at Terwillegar Drive.
Please note, a community grand opening will be held at the new Southwest Division station sometime in late July on a date TBD. Media will be notified at that time.
