The Edmonton Police Service is seeking information related to a theft of beer in southeast Edmonton earlier this month.

On Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at approximately 11 p.m., Southeast Division officers responded to the report of a break-and-enter at a holding yard. Upon further investigation, police determined that two semi-trucks with trailers were stolen from the yard at approximately 7 p.m. that same evening. Both trailers reportedly contained large volumes of beer destined for Saskatchewan.

Officers recovered the semi-trucks and trailers on Friday, May 5, 2017 in an industrial area near 56 Avenue and 67 Street. Unfortunately, the trailers were empty.

Police believe the total estimated value of the stolen beer to be approximately $160,000.

The two recovered semi-trucks, a white 2008 Freightliner and a burgundy 2009 Freightliner, were each pulling a trailer, one burgundy with a large white decal and one white with a large burgundy decal. Stock photos of the truck and trailer are below.
