Edmonton man charged with second-degree murder

A 47-year-old Edmonton man is facing numerous charges in connection with the Nov. 14th murder of Kyle Curtis Scheck and the stabbing of another male who survived the assault.

Homicide detectives arrested Vincent Prentice over the weekend and charged him with second degree murder, aggravated assault, possession of an offensive weapon, possession of a narcotic and breach of recognizance.

Background:

Northeast Division Patrol members responded to a disturbance call near 128 Avenue and 65 Street, at approximately 7:30 p.m., Thursday, where upon arrival they found a 26-year-old deceased male. A second male, who sustained multiple stabs wounds, was found in a nearby business parking lot at 128 Avenue and 66 Street. He was rushed to hospital by EMS.
