The Edmonton Police Service has charged three drivers in relation to a fatal collision on Anthony Henday Drive last month.

At approximately 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 13, 2019, three motorcycles were reportedly travelling southbound on Anthony Henday Drive from Whitemud Drive. It was reported to police that all three motorcycles were cutting in and out of traffic, failing to signal and driving between vehicles to pass.

Moments later, it was reported to police that a Dodge Journey was travelling southbound on Anthony Henday Drive just past 62 Avenue when it suddenly slowed down to avoid striking another vehicle ahead of it that had suddenly stopped.  The Journey reportedly moved partially into the next lane to avoid a collision. At the same time, one of the three motorcycles allegedly also moved into the same lane and struck the Dodge Journey.

Zaur Abbasbayli, 25, and Rodney Falle, 34, the two motorcyclists, were charged with careless driving.
