The Edmonton Police Service is seeking dash cam footage following a targeted shooting yesterday evening in south Edmonton.

At approximately 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 23, 2021, Southeast Division officers were called to the report of a shooting in the area of 23 Avenue and 106 Street.

EMS responded, treated and transported two injured males in their 20s to hospital; however, one of the males succumbed to his injuries. The other male remains in hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The EPS Homicide Section continues to investigate the death of the male, and an autopsy has been scheduled for Friday, Oct. 1, 2021. No arrests have been made at this time, and detectives are hopeful that dash cam footage from the area may assist with their investigation.

Anyone with dash cam footage who was driving in the area of 23 Avenue between Calgary Trail and 111 Street from 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 23, 2021, is asked to please contact the EPS at 780-423-4567 or #377 from a mobile phone. Anonymous information can also be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online at www.p3tips.com/250.
