Public safety continues to be our top priority. EPS’ objectives include restoring traffic flow to ensure mobility for emergency vehicles and residents, as well as mitigating any disorderly conduct. Mitigation may include verbal warnings, tickets, arrests and gathering of evidence for follow-up investigations.
Police are advising convoy organizers to refrain from honking horns or otherwise making excessive noise that disrupts residences and businesses, and will continue to enforce traffic violations, including noise violations.
We recognize that these demonstrations cause significant disruptions to traffic and create many concerns for residents and businesses; however, citizens are reminded that 911 should only be used in emergency situations.

Traffic Advisory
Motorists should be advised that vehicle convoys may be coming from various parts of Alberta to Edmonton on Saturday Feb. 19, 2022, converging at the Legislature grounds. The convoys are anticipated to affect Edmonton traffic anywhere between the hours of at least 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Significant traffic disruption may include Broadmoor Blvd in Sherwood Park, Anthony Henday Drive, Highway 16/Yellowhead Trail, Victoria Trail, Whitemud Drive, Gateway Blvd, Walterdale Hill, Queen Elizabeth Park Road and the downtown core.
