Autopsy complete, two men arrested, one wanted in lounge shooting

An autopsy has been completed in the death of a male at a central Edmonton lounge last weekend, and police have made two arrests.

On Saturday, March 12, 2022, at approximately 2:45 a.m., EPS West Branch officers responded to shots fired at a lounge located at 124 Street and 118 Avenue. Upon arrival, police located multiple victims outside the establishment.

EMS responded, treated, and transported two females and four males to hospital with various injuries. A fifth injured male attended a hospital on his own. One of the male victims, now identified as Imbert George, 28, succumbed to his injuries.

The Edmonton Medical Examiner completed an autopsy yesterday, Wednesday, Mar. 16, 2022, and determined that George died as a result ofmultiple gunshot wounds.The manner of death is homicide.

Two of the other injured individuals remain in hospital; one is in stable condition, the other is in critical but stable condition.

Two men have been arrested in the shooting; Mohamod Mohamod, 22 and Said Ibrahim, 23 are each charged with first degree murder, six counts of discharging a firearm with intent to endanger life and multiple other firearms offences.

A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for a third accused male, Saed, Osman, 27, who is wanted for first degree murder, six counts of discharging a firearm with intent to endanger life and multiple other firearms offences. Osman is considered dangerous and should not be approached.

The EPS Homicide Section would like to thank Air One and the EPS Canine Unit for their assistance in identifying a red Ford Focus that was believed to be involved in the incident. The Focus was recovered at 79 Street and Schonsee Way. Investigators are asking anyone who may have observed suspicious activity involving a red Ford Focus on the day of the incident to come forward to police.
